Once a child learns how to form the letters the wrong way it is really hard to go back and teach them the right way. Fascinating new research points out the benefits of cursive writing for cognitive development.

I'm also finding it very useful for myself as before I was unsure on how some of the phonics sounded and how some of the letters joined up correctly. Was recommended this app from my sons school and I'm so glad I was taking note, great on the iPad or iPhone we now have on both I have a 4 yr old that is learning both phonics and writing at school and this is helping us carry on his learning at home, my 2 year old has also been using this app lots and although slightly advanced for her age it's great that it keeps her interested even when she can't do some of the letters.
